Excited to jumpstart another project together, the project team members from U Thrive Europe and International Arts Centre met for three days in Brussels to define the details of project implementation. Although productive and overall pleasant, the meeting was intensive and demanding, and the foundations of the project were put strongly in place. The participants worked on preparing a partnership agreement and the project’s budget, on setting up the modalities of our cooperation and starting with the planning of individual activities.
The meeting took place on 7-9 April 2023 in Brussels, at the Mundo Madou coworking facility. The facility runs a community bike repair shop where people can bring their broken bicycles and get them repaired free of charge. This helps to reuse and recycle bicycle parts which might otherwise end up in the garbage but also with the repair rather than the replacement of old bicycles. Brussels gives us great ideas for community building and eco initiatives every time we visit it!
